well this may be an odd question but can you tune Dm by ear? if so how do you do it i have no idea or do i need to get and elecrtro tuner? thanx

Ok, you can leave your A and D strings in tune. To get your low E to D, just use the drop D tuning method. Play the 7th fret on the low E and tune it down until your 7th fret on that string is in tune with the A string.
That'll take care of your bottom 3 strings. This ought to work for the others. Tune down your 3rd string until the 9th fret on the 3rd string is in tune with the 4th string. Now your bottom 4 strings will be in tune. All you have to do now is tune down your 2nd string until it is in tune with the 4th fret on the 3rd string, then tune down your first string until it's in tune with the 5th fret on the 2nd string.
