I spotted this one at a local guitar shop, and I fell IN LOVE with it. If fits well and it plays well too. The neck is a tad bit wider than most acoustics that I've played on, but that's better, because I'm a Classical Guitarist anyway, so i'm used to it.

Any other owners of Taylor's out there?

I purchased this bad boy for $2,000 with the case... I brought it to him in cash, and he let it go for $500 less that marked.

I haven't played on an acoustic for ages, and I can't wait to start playing again. Except for I can't get any good technique (for rhythms and stuff) so I need to start practicing like 4 hours a day.

Any suggestions or comments to help me out?

If not, I'll start going through the lists in the topics that have been pinned, and get myself going.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!! YAY!!!!

PS: This place has changed a little bit. I need to join this MuSATO thing now.... Darn MPA telling me that I can't even learn, NOW THAT I JUST BOUGHT A NEW ACOUSTIC??!!?!?!??! GRRRRR!!!!!!

tongue.gif laugh.gif Whatever, we're students, we'll find away around their political ways.

Thanks everyone in advanced.

Congrats on the new Taylor. I love the X14ce Taylors, definately my favorite. They sure saw you coming though. You might of been able to get even a little bit more off of the price since you paid in cash. I woulda tried for $1800.00. $2000.00 is still a great price though. biggrin.gif bI hope that you enjoy her, and learn lots. It is a great guitar, especially with the 1 3/4" neck. That is an absolute for me nowadays, I am even getting 1 13/16" on my new custom built. I like the wider necks too.

It is good that you picked up playing guitar. As for advice, I would say that you should always set new and higher standards. Try new styles, try all types of genres. Your never too old for guitar lessons, that helps me alot. It helps that I have an incredible guitar mentor though. Get one of them, they are great. biggrin.gif Try to make some "guitar friends." Preferably someone who is a stronger player, so you learn fast and efficiently. There are lots of things you can do, these are just the things that have helped me.

Again, have fun with the new guitar and congradulation on the new purchase. Makes me want to go get me another Taylor. I miss mine. sad.gif
