OK...I don't usually watch reality shows on TV but last night I was flipping thru the channels and came upon a show that had a guy that was born without any arms playing a guitar with his feet. Talent was awesome. If anyone else saw this show, what did you think?

I saw the previews where they featured that guitar player. What did he play, and how did he sound. It sounds really impressive.

Like I said, I stumbled on this show. His music was good...not great but impressive.

Amazing what some people can overcome. Once I saw an old picker from Kentucky who'd lost both hands and half his forearms in a farming accident. He learned to play slide, pick attached to one hook, cradle the guitar in the other arm and use a weighted chrome mic-stand for his slide (although at home he preferred to just sit on the floor next to the kitchen table and use one of its legs for a slide.) Again, not the greatest player, but pretty damned good.

You have me there. I haven't know anyone to play without arms but you're right, if there's a will, there's a way. Right now, I'm trying to play left handed to overcome the arthritis in my left hand. You'd think that it would be easy to transition from right to left, but your fingers don't want to do what your mind it telling them to do. I can't imagine having to learn to play without arms or hands

I can't imagine it either. I've spent half my life whining about my fingers not being long and skinny enough and wondering if I oughta just give it up! laugh.gif I can't imagine the kind of determination guys like these have.

Is he a hispanic dude? I think I have seen him before. Sings a lot of Christian based stuff?
