I was checking stringthis.com for strings and i saw that daddario EXP 80/20s are only 8.99 but the phosphor bronze sets are 10.50 a set. I know 80/20 are brighter but is that the only main difference?

80/20 and Phosphor bronze why a price difference?

One of the biggest reasons is the cost to manufacture each type of string. Phosphor strings simply cost more to make. Another reason is that phosphor strings will last longer than a set of 80/20 strings will. Between those two, that is why phosphor costs more.

man...if you guys would just get string from WEBSTRINGS you would worry about the price.
Good strings at a fraction of the price. You may think too good to be true, but it is.

Ninjato's right. Got a bunch of strings from Webstrings and love 'em. Great price too (about CDN$2.85 a set) and excellent service. I tried the bluegrass strings that Dadfad recommended and they sound great.
Go in with a buddy and buy a bunch. You won't be dissappointed.
