Just a mention of the passing of Etta Baker, a wonderful old woman who could play beautiful fingerstyle Piedmont guitar. I was fortunate enough to have met her, introduced to her by my friend John Jackson, and played with her several times in the late '80s. She died on Saturday. Thanks, Etta.
Un-plugged is not the same as

Although I only know the name from mention of my uncle, and even then vaguely, she must have been something. May she rest in peace.

I read that she's supposed to be on the next Kenny Wayne Shepherd release, and has a banjo CD coming out as well.
