I'm going through a divorce, up to my ass in debt, and over the last few months I've had to sell 3 of my 4 guitars, my amp, my 2 pedals and a few cases and gig bags in order to pay rent and eat. Could use a little cheering up... anyone...
You could start a Country band.

Well, you've still at least got one of the guitars around, that's a plus. I'm sure that with all you've sold, at least an alright amount of debt is out of the way, which means now you can probably start negotiations to have the payments spaced and try and come to an agreement long enough to get some money under your name again.

Anyway, I'll tell you from experience, there's always another one if you want it.

Thanks man, good to have some hope that there's light at the end of the tunnel. Broke my heart to sell the Telecaster... it was my first. Maybe it will still be at the hock shop when I come in to some money so I can buy it back. Sure makes me appreciate the one I have left.

ive been homeless , destitute , broke , had the crap beaten out of me , BUT....i'm still here , and luckily all of those things happened at different points and not at the same time .
things go up and down invariabley from time to time , and its this type of stuff that makes us who we are , its all for the best really , things will get better , then worse , then better again . it would be nice to die on a high tho' !

Thanks to all of you that offered support and shared your stories with me.
Whatever happens, I'm not letting go of my last guitar unless it is pried from my cold, dead fingers.
Q: Do you know why divorce is expensive?
A: Because it's worth it.

Don't worry, you have one guitar left. Time for a new beginning. You can start everything all over, again and again, no matter how old you are. Get yourself someone who can appreciate you together with your guitars. It'll get better, it always gets.

reminds me of shawshank redemption when all the characters are in prison, constantly beaten and raped. The main character says that music is the most important thing, and makes people human, because its inside of you and noone can take it from you. Heh, i guess the quote isnt just for dramatization....
