A theremin!

Basically move your hand about in the air to create pitches. See Youtube link below for a better understanding.

It's not one of those old antennae things, mine is optical and has no sound, but sends MIDI signals, so I can use it with a wide range of instruments for a broad tonal palette.

It's bloody hard though sad.gif
