What are some tips for singing good? All I know is that you're suppose to breathe in a way that your diaphragm pushes your abdomen up.

Fill your gut up with air instead of your chest basically. And practice and have fun.

i was always taught that as you take the intake of breath, as soon as you feel it hit the back of your throat, release the first note. if you start singing as you are breathing out, you will a) run out of air and 2) your voice will sound forced.

you know how you hear of pop singers having throat problems, its coz un-classically trained singers often end up with polips growing on thier vocal chords (i think opera singers just power blast thiers into the second and third rows). but saying that opera does nothing for me yet the warty throat of a rockstar........... highs and lows, etc, etc. if it sounds good to you, your doing something right
