I am trying to find a print source for chords with pict of finger placement as it relates to the fret position on the guitar. for basic and "cheater cords"

You're probably talking about what are called "barre-chords." It should be pretty easy to find them on most any guitar-instruction site.
Un-plugged is not the same as
never-was-plugged-in-to-begin-with.
