So has anybody played with these? I'm really lovin the idea of having one. I'd love to play keyboard but i hate havin to be stationary all the time.



This kinda thing.

ANybody aware of any lower cost versions???? Struggling to find any, as it seems to have about a million different names sad.gif

very jan hammer, you must be quite the showman tommy. i saw a casio keytar (similar to the one in your pic but with less neck, honest) on ebay the other day for about 80 quid couldnt tell you if it was any good though. couldnt you just araldite a strap onto a light second hand keyboard thats got big selection buttons. hmm maybe youd have to glue an extender arm on it to stop yourself from tangling up, but do that with a controller keyboard thing into a midi rack synth and you have a light keytar thats got pure power

You could of course get a cheap POS as long as it has a decent keyboard that feels comfy to play and a MIDI out. Then you just send it's signal to a external processor for sound. smile.gif

I believe Toys 'R Us sells a cheap keytar, I'm not sure if you have those stores across the pond though.

You could take a Roy Wooten approach and make your own.



Although he did it with some drum machines and stuff, you could get some cheap second hand store keyboards and make something up.
