Hey Everyone,

I just had a couple hardware issues and moved to some better servers. I hope everything is working, I'm still going though testing as much as comes to mind.

I apologize for the downtime, the hardware problem was not my fault but I still could have gotten things working again more quickly than I did explode.gif

Please reply here with any problems or bugs, comments, anything of that sort

Cheers,

At times I notice that I get logged out after pressing 'Mark forum as read' or a similar button where normally it wouldn't. Some kind of cookie issue ?

Hmm, It could be. I'll look into it.

Also, if anyone was having a problem updating their avatar or profile photo, that issue should not be resolved.

Cheers,
Rob

No problems here but I got a suggestion.

I have seen on similar forums that use the exact same format as GTU, all forums are protected and you need a password to access them, and the password changes every 30 days, resulting in users having to go and retrieve the password from a pinned thread in one forum. Now with that feature I have never seen a spam bot post on the forum, do you think it is possible to do something similar where instead of there being a topic with the password, the mods get the password and new users have to pm a mod for it? If that would not work very well then why not just create protected forums that require a password from the one open forum that you need to be registered to access?

I dunno, just a thought really but I think it might help prevent spammers from posting in the forums.

All of Saturday GTU was done for me.

Did anyone else experience the same thing?

Yeah it did not work for me either. Although I did not try today, seeing as how I have been reading all weekend.

Yeah, it was down day before yesterday also, sorry about that.

Also, I just had the website down for about 1.5 hours and upgraded some major software. You should not notice any differences though, but please reply if you find any bugs.
I do know about the new "classifieds topic program not filling in the provided data in the subject line automatically" bug. I'll try to fix that tomorrow.

Cheers,
Rob

No more downtime expected. ph34r.gif

I noticed there is this snapback thing that appears when you quote someone.

But it is not doing it now for some reason.
