I got accepted into a university for a music education major. I really just want to teach guitar, and since the university I'm going to is very highly respected in it's education, I figure that will open a lot of different paths to me. But my First Act acoustic isn't going to cut it. I really can hear it's shortcomings. I'm mainly a electric player, but I can see the need for a decent acoustic.
But since I'm a lefty, I've had a hard time finding a decent acoustic. Can somebody direct me to a fairly low priced (around the $500 mark) acoustic made left handed? I'll need it for my guitar class. Since I can't use my X50 or my Strat or my Predator.
And I'm having a bit of pain in my wrist. On top, when I move my fingers, those tendons there, those are what is bothering me at the moment. My doctor seems to think it's just because of my work, using a meat slicer to cut up meat a good part of the day. Anyone ever have that happen? I can still bend my wrist a 90 degree angle, so it's not real bad. But if I twist my hand the right way, it'll hurt a bit. The doctor says it'll go away once I get away from my current job. Would ice help that at all? My doctor really didn't say much about it. I guess she really doesn't think it's real bad or anything.

I'd be surprised if Epiphone doesn't make lefty models, and their acoustics are wonderful. I also know that I've seen Seagulls in lefty models.

i bought a yamaha fg411 when i was in about 11th grade and it was the best $225 i've ever spent. Sounds pretty good, takes a beating. went through 4 years of college with me in one piece. it has a couple holes drilled in it from a little sciene experiment i was playing with it and it's still kicking just fine. i really can't recommend that guitar enough. i'm sure that other yamahas are just as good, i just have experience with this one though.
