Right, so ive learnt to play guitar and sing (well make "noise") at the same time. now i just need to polish my singing. Well, i say polish, but more like a full wax and machine buff...

So are there any good books or DVDs i can get to help me. i know what you are going to say and that is there is no substitute for a good teacher- and i believe that. but its not really gonna work with me goin' uni.

The closest things i have found are these-
http://www.amazon.co...g/dp/1860744370
http://www.amazon.co...5763799-4476666

but i think i need more of a "grounding" , sort of basics book really as i only know small bits of info ive picked up off the internet.

Thanks!

this book is great, as it goes from the very basics through to some complex stuff. it even starts by telling you how to breath
and what part of your throat produces which sound, which is great. here's a link:

just sing all the time. the rock/blues voice has been one thats been abused till the user is in his comfort zone. tell me of a rockier vocal than of lennons twist & shout, ive read that song was last on the set list coz it finished him for the night
