So it's a pintech electric drumset and I was really excited when I got it (for free by the way) because I thought that it would help my band's drum tracks sound quality when recording. The thing is...I was greatly disappointed when I found out that in order to get the best sound of the drums you have to hit directly in the middle. There is a small circle in the very middle of the drum pad and in order to hit it directly, you have to have great accuracy. Is there any way I can make the sensitivity of the drum pad to where it doesn't matter where you hit it or is this just how its going to be?
The drums didn't come with a manual so that's why I came here...

My younger brother has an electric drumset, it's really nice, but he is longing for an acoustic set... It's pretty easy to hook up to a recording device, but as with all things recorded, the sound settings have a lot to do with how it turns out...just please.....do your bandmates a favor, don't use that thing live.....

Oh I wouldnt beleive me. Plus, I'm not the drummer, I'm the guitarist. I play drums also, which is why I have the electric set. I just want to use the electric for recording purposes considering I don't have anywhere near proffessional mics. ya know.

On the little effects machine I went to Utility and edited the pan eq and crap like that. It took me forever though. I basically just edited the sensativity of certain drums and made others louder or quieter.

you might want to post this as a thread, string.
You'll get more attention that way.

One of my mom's best friends is real involved in her church, and basically the church band was just trying to get rid of it because it was sitting there collecting dust and taking up space. My mom's friend took it with her because she knew that I would like it and I sure as hell did. The only bad thing is that the ride cymbol for some reason doesn't work and it's also missing a tom. But hey, it was a free $1,00 drumset so I can't complain.
