I ttend to monitor as i record using headphones, i dont use the monitoring from adobe itsledf because even on the lowest buffer settings i get way too much latency (and alot of clicks and pops) any way, my question is, being as i monitor in this way anyway, might i aswell just wack all my buffer settings to full to stop any chance of pops or clicks, or do high buffer settings have other negative effecs on recording??
Cheers

Buffer settings have no effect on the recording - as in you losing data - only the sync can get lost with what you hear and what you add.
If by the Adobe monitoring you mean the 'Adobe Default'... thing, I suggest you change this to your soundcards ASIO driver if present, this will solve all latency problems.

Yeah im using my asio driver. for my fa 66. but i still get alot of latency, so cant really monito from that, cus it just sounds like my vocals and well eveyrthing is just in some doubling/delay effect. is there any other ovious reasons im missing to why im getting latency, or as to why when my buffer settings are down i get clicks and pops.

The driver for the FA-66 should come with a configuration panel that allows you to manually set the latency time (below 10 ms is satisfactory for 'real-time'-esque responses). If it works with buffer sizes, lowering them is usually the answer.

as far as i can see it has no latency settings. the problem is, with buffer settings anylest thatn the maximum i suffer from clicks and pops in recordings.
