I have no idea if this would be a lot of work or if it would be a simple change, but bear with me...
On a few other forums I use, I can read the first few lines of the first post in a thread by holding the mouse over the title of the thread, without having to click the title and actually enter the thread. It's really convenient if I don't remember if I've read the thread yet, or if I'm not sure if I actually want to read the thread. Basically it makes quick browsing of a lot of threads really easy. It's obviously not a big priority, because it only adds a slight convenience for the lazy among us, but it would be pretty cool to see on GTU. Maybe it could be considered the next time there's a round of changes/improvements made to the site?

There's no time to explain. Everyone must post pictures of fish.

A little number under each of the total posts that displays how many posts have been made in a thread since you last read it would be better, cause then you know how far in you have to go to continue reading.

If you click the little orange button to the left of the topic title, it will take you directly to the last post you read.

Let the pretend take over
And that season be the first
Shadows we're in become us
So we set up interspersed
Between here and away
Become your space every day
Check out my New DIY Site! (work in progress)

I think the whole point of the issue, is so people can avoid going into the thread at all, but still know what it's about.

Yeah, you answered Smashy's post. It's not really an answer for the thread starter though.
