I think people tend to forget everything about Bonham's playing except that he was a beast.
But he had the 'sex groove' like no one else.

Fúck I love the thought of someone being so bad at standing that they seriously injure their beanbags.

John Bonham was the ######. Who doesn't love those bass drum triplets in Good Times Bad Times. And he was such a dynamic player live.

Peart wouldnt have the groove bonham had on fool in the rain or poor tom. Theres more to being a good musician than technicallity. I still think that something you need to learn...

Yeah, and not saying that Peart isn't good and doesn't have great feeling but...
They are just different. Bonham was more of a simple, groovy, powerhouse that worked great for Zeppelin and probably not as much for Rush.

It just depends on what you like/need.

Neil Peart definitely was a better roller than Bonham, but Imo Bonham overall is (was) a better drummer.

There are lots of drummers that have Neil Peart in technical ability.

And? What I was saying is that you could be the most technically proficient player in the world.....doesnt mean youre a good musician.

I agree. I just don't like when people see Neil Peart as the most technical or most amazing drummer in that regard. He's not.
