I'm new to the forums and am not sure if I'm posting in the right place. Sorry in advance if I need to find a different forum.
Whenever I try to export my tracks from the Boss BR-600 to my computer, the ROLAND (Boss) folder comes up, but inside of it are two strange folders titled "â" and "èN≈ßFⁿ.V■"
If I click on the folders, they aren't accessible because their "filenames" aren't correct. Thanks for any help you can provide biggrin.gif
And this is kind of a separate issue, but sometimes I get "Card Read Error" and "Drive Busy" when recording a song, and it usually screws up whatever Ive recorded.

On the USB folder-name problem, this thread from a Roland board has some discussion of similar problems, and there may be other relevant threads on the same board.

The "Drive Busy" errors could indicate that the HD is working too slowly and may need to be defragged, or even reformatted. The "Card Read Error" sounds like a separate matter, I've got nothing on that.

Using a flash card reader is really the easiest option. About $8 at Walmart or where-ever you buy your simple electronics stuff.
This is how it works...
-You record your tracks.
-You pull the flash card out of the BR-600
-You slide it into the card reader
-You run the BRWC software (wave converter) that you download form the BOSS/Rolans website (free)
-Choose the drive that is named BOSS BR-600
-Select the song to export
-Select the tracks to export
-Click Go and choose a destination to store the files.
It's too easy and super fast.

Are you really planning on Chanology being around more than a year or two for this to matter?
