hi guys new here i have a behringer vamp 2 but carnt seem to get it setup proply with pc with the midi had this for some years now and i had the midi leads that connect to game port but that dident work so ive just bort the usb midi cable and the pc software of vamp2 is coming up with an error box it says this If you connect a device with its midi thru function active it cannot respond to scanning and has 2 options abort or retry but when i press retry it comes back to this box error am i doing some thing wrong the midi light on the vamp 2 machine thats on the A button flashes. and the display is 1 and the tap button is flashing dont know if this has to do with out but are theses settings right as the software still comes up with this error ive never got to use this so im cluless to how to use it wanted to import some syx files any help would be great

Well if it's set to MIDI through, the device in question will ignore all data sent to it and immediately pass the incoming data to it's MIDI out port. So whatever MIDI device connected in between the computer and VAMP will pass the signal on to the next device in the chain. If the VAMP is the device that has a through problem, connect it's MIDI input cable to the MIDI in port.
