Recently (past half hour) my computer will play random music that I am quite sure I have never heard before, and therefore could not have downloaded.
No programs begin when this happens, doesn't seem like spyware.
W T F?
Once again, moicrosoft forums prove usesless.

If you have web pages open, it's probably embedded music.

When it occured, my only tabs were gtu, and a google image search for one aria giovanni. I promptly ended the 'firefox.exe' program. The random music continued. I would be enthralled if it were something like the flaming lips' life on mars cover. But being obscure rap and country, as it were, I am quite quizzical.
It pauses, as if a stream, then continues. Very odd. I've never heard of this. I know spyware does funny things, but usually, a program file is the cause.

Nope. When it happened, firefox was going. After I ended it, I had no apps running. Neither were there any internet related programs busy, besides the generic EXPLORER.exe, and it wasn't busy.

lol i have heard hundreds of different ideas on what this could be like cheap speakers picking up radio signal cell phone interference and a bunch of other crazy off the wall ideas but have never read how any one has fixed it or had the chance to work on a computer that has had the problem but i do know reformatting fixes it so the rules out weird radio signals and schizophrenia. but personally i would go to task manager and look through my processes tab and google anything that looks strange or new. and lastly google the problem and dig for hours lol cuz this problem is common but that also means you will dig through a lot of forum posts before finding an answer
