Hi again,

A while ago i asked about a guitar pickup (for my acoustic guitar that doesnt have a pickup), and after some thought i started thinking maybe i should get one installed inside it.

What i wanna ask is if there'll be any major difference in the sound quality if i get a guitar pickup installed in the guitar?

And if not what would be affordable yet reasonable sounding pickup out there?

thanks in adv

First, you'll want to have someone who knows exactly what they're doing to install the pickup/preamp. Look around for a good luthier in your area.

If it's installed well, your guitar's tone might change a little, but it shouldn't have a huge effect.

I would recommend looking into some Fishman preamps/pickups.

Personally, I'd just go with a sound hole pickup. Nobody is chopping up my guitar.

i second that, i put in a piezo pickup without the pre-amp, and it works just as well, and it doesnt have a cable coming out of the sound hole, which is a plus.
