This just came in the mail today...ordered it off eBay. It's a 1970's Takamine G 330 (Martin lawsuit-era). I have to say, I'm very happy with the guitar. It feels really solid, the neck is extremely playable, and it sounds GREAT.

Well yes they're succeeding at being a pain in the ass.
Closing here wouldn't help tho. They'd spam other threads.

On the guitar front though... that's a sweet looking instrument. I've had my Takamine for 7 years now and couldn't be happier. Hope yours does you just as well.

Update on the guitar... sill love it and I think it sounds great, but one complaint I have about it is that it doesn't stay in tune as well as I would like it to. Should I replace the tuners? And what kind of tuners will drop straight into a D28 type headstock without having to do any additional drilling?

If they don't have a name on them, next time you change strings pull one off and take it to a guitar-shop for a comparison. You might also be able to do a pretty good comparison at one of the shops that deal online and have a good supply of different tuners like Elderly Instruments or Stewmac.com or somewhere. Look up your guitar specs online too. It might tell you what kind of tuners they use even if the ones on your guitar don't have a name brand on them.

It may be the way the strings are wound that keeps it out of tune due to slipping.

I've really never had much issues w/ tuners on any guitar I've owned.
