Ok, back in May I took my laptop in to get serviced, hard drive wound up getting replaced because apparently it was about to die. Suffice to say that the dumb f*cks who put in the new drive did not properly partition the drive to include the recovery software on a secondary partition, so I have a single C drive and no f*cking recovery software to do a system restore with the discs that came with the laptop. I backed up all my documents and want to do a complete wipe, only to find out that some jackass who did the repairs on my computer have screwed me over. So what the f*ck am I supposed to do with my Acer laptop since I can't do a recovery? The jackasses didn't even install the Acer eRecovery software that every computer is supposed to have. Man I tell ya people are really freaking incompetent mad.gif

Find/pirate windows. Format harddrive. Reload operating system. If you want something done right, do it yourself.

No, because then I am back at square one, won't be able to do system recovery again and I will be missing all my bloody drivers, and I hate having to go and find all the drivers for my laptop, it's a b.tch.

The problem is that I don't want to have to go and install all my bloody drivers after installing Windows, it's a helluva lot faster to use the System Recovery discs to restore my machine.

Dude, it takes me five minutes to find my drivers. They are all in one damned place. Put them on a CD or a zip drive and stop whining.

I think you just like complaining. Installing drivers takes all of five minutes.

laugh.gif Shows how much you don't know about laptops, the USB ports don't work and I can't install the drivers because there are none online. I have the wireless network setup, but the software for my soundcard is screwed up and the USB port driver does not exist online.

Can't get the modem driver to work either. For a person who claims to work with computers, seems that you aren't very knowledgeable about how I would solve this situation.

Yeah I am going to pay for a disc when they should have the drivers on their site. I got all the drivers off their site working at last, dunno if the USB ports are working, Device Manager says they are installed but I have yet to check if they work, most likely they will. I managed to get the drivers properly extracted with WinRAR, WinZip was being stupid as hell and kept corrupting one of the files during extraction.
