Bass String Question Nylon Wound Strings Rate Topic: -----

I was wondering if you can get out harmonics on nylon tapewound or filiment wound bass strings.
If Anybody knows please let me know!

Of course you can. The material the strings are made of have no effect. All you need to do is place your finger exactly on the harmonic spot and you'll get it no matter what kind of strings you use.

you'll still get harmonics out of it, but they may sound a little different. i can't say i've ever used nylons but the difference between roundwound strings and flatwounds is quite noticeable, especially with harmonics.
