free flash animation software????

Nope.
While there are many open source packages to write Actionscript code, the Flash IDE (i.e. the program that will compile it to make it a actual Shockwave Flash file) is a licensed Adobe product, which costs moolah. Having said that, I don't actually use Flash for animation, but I can't imagine there being other ways to generate .FLA from third party software.
However, if you don't want a .FLA (which is the authoring file, so a 'open' document containing all movie data) but a straight up .SWF file (the final rendered/compiled/oh just the final product-output file that is used in say, webpages) there are some options varying from the Swift, Mix-FX program up to .SWF exporters for several animation packages. Altough I'm not too sure if these are actually totally free.
