My Seagate Freeagent is not being recognized on my computer. When I plug it in any other computer, it runs fine, but not in mine. I plug it in the computer, then I plug the power source in. It lights up for a few seconds, then turns off. This is the only computer it doesn't recognize. And it used to work perfectly. Any ideas?

How does it connect to the computer, USB?
Its possible you are missing USB inf files. If you have a windows disc I would recommend running a repair.

It's possible that your computer is trying to assign your hard drive the same drive letter as something else you already have. Plug it in, then go into control panel > administrative tools > computer management > system tools> device manager > USB... see if you can find it on the list of things plugged into your USB. If you can, manually assign its drive letter to something like Q so it won't stack with anything.

Yeah, my bad...that'll just list everything. I forget when I'm not actually doing it.
This is what you want:
Storage > Disk management > It'll list what is plugged in for storage then you right click and assign drive letter.
