link to personal webpage through profile view

I just wanted to ask if you could make a link in the view profile option so that we could easily look at each other's personal webpage. as for the "website" option in contact information, I already use that to direct people to my angelfire page. I know that it's possible to view other ppl's pages by changing URL http://www.guitarzone/w/User:Username <--- sry that's not meant to be hyperlinked... but it's really a pain to do it like this, especially with the odd combination of numbers many of us use in our log in names. The way that feature is set up now makes it unlikely that anyone will ever view what I write there, and also probably alienates some people who might otherwise find out about, use, and enjoy it. Other than that, I love the feature.

ya, i'm kinda shocked more people aren't using it. I know that I wasn't about to turn down free stuff. and most of the people who are using it don't have more than one line there. i saw one guy complain that html wasn't working. it works fine for me, except that you have to use BB code to post images and hyperlinks.
i'm not sure if i really want it in my siggy. i'll consider it for a while.

If you want more views you can do like me: link your page to your signature.
Here is the complete list of all members wiki page: click
As you can see, very few use their personal page.
Glad to see someone new using it

Too bad you can't filter out only those who have updated theirs. Oh well. At least mods have an easily accessible list. *flex*

Jen if you're searching for someone specific go and filter out members 50+ posts. From there you display users starting at B or C or D or whoever you're searching for you'll find them fast. Groups like admins ombuds mods and tab reviewers are easily accessible because the lists are smaller.

Oh ho ho. I thought I tried that. I was doing Member (+) before instead of normal members.
Whoops. Anyway, now is there a way to filter out those who have actually created their wiki?

here's a quick note on the webpage wiki. if you post an image that doesn't take up much space, you can have text next to it on one line. However, if you add html editing text on that line, such as < p >, it will mess up the spacing of everything under that tag. it took me a while to realize why everything looked goofy like that.

Yeah it will look goofy if you don't use the wiki tools ahah.
- Images: If you use the [img][/img] tags your images won't be linked to related pages. If you host them here you can be sure that they're here to stay. You can also edit them. I've shown you the code in a previous post.
- Headings: If you don't use the headings your pages look bare and dont have a table of content. Bold and italics are not enough in the wiki.
- Lists: bullets and numbered lists look much better in the wiki than no lists at all (trust me)
- I saw a youtube link in your page but again you dont use the advantages of the wiki. If you want to embed the video you can here is the code: <nowiki><youtube>v</youtube></nowiki>
- Skin: If you're using the default skin that was compatible to the last version of this software then you cannot see the edit toolbar with all the modern tools. Make sure you're set on the modern skins (there're two) the ones that are compatible to the current version of the software.

ok, that helps. i had my skin set to classic, so i wasn't understanding all this talk about the toolbar before. I thought everyone was talking about the toolbox on the left, and was confused, and obviously couldn't find anything I could use. The youtube embed looks good as well. I'm still not feeling really confident about the headings. I have all of my text on one page right now, which, obviously, is going to be quite a mess for anyone trying to actually learn this stuff if I continue this way. I'm not sure how to link something in the "Table of Contents" with text somewhere else on the page.

It's quite simple: the headings will automatically create the table of contents on top of the page.
First second and third level headings:
1 - Large
=New section=
2 - Medium
==Subsection==
3 - Small
===Sub-subsection===
Now that you can see the toolbar and therefore use the tools I think you've come to the point where you need to link key words of your article to new pages.
I wrote a guide on how to make new pages:
http://www.guitarzon...ies:_Part_Three
All new pages you create should have links to the original page. If not you can link them yourself.
Have Fun

I just found one simple way.
Go to special pages ------> List of pages: All Pages ------> Namespace: User. And there you go.
