I need to format my sd card into FAT, but it will only give me that FAT32 option. Is there any way to override that?

Format it in the camera/MP3 player or whatever you need to use it with.

yeah....doesn't have that option!

I tried doing it in my phone since the card I bought for my phone works in my new mp3 player just fine and it SAYS it does it, but doesn't actually format it at all.....

There should be a disk format utility built into Windows XP that will let you format it to FAT or FAT32 , but there's also a GParted LiveCD that should let you do it - http://gparted.sourc....net/livecd.php

XP wasn't giving me a choice. It was only FAT32
