This is more of a double check than anything...
First BSSID is the network I'm connecting to, right?
And the mac address shown on my settings while connected to wireless is the wireless mac address, right?
I can't plug in a cable to see if anything changes and it won't let me view without having the wired set up. I just wanted to double check before sending my mac address off to my net company so it can get added onto the network.

Well I gave them that mac address and it didn't work, although I looked at the whole settings and only found one mac address...on my computers it says ethernet phys and wireless...etc.
Whats up wit that? *sigh*

If you are running it wireless, it should be the same setup as any other wireless computer setup no? If it is not reading your MAC address, either you typed it in wrong or you have multiple MAC addresses (dunno if that is even possible). Use the MAC address being broadcasted from your router, don't use the ones written on other computers because they might be different.

Well the problem is with how my apartment sets up our internet access. If this had been my own I would have had it done already
Anyway, the problem wasn't on my end

I have my PS3 running wirelessly, but I have no idea why you're finding it complicated. Just choose the "wireless" option in the settings, and follow the instructions. I don't remember anything about a "mac address"

My internet comes through my apartment. My internet company doesn't have normal security because people just kept giving the password to their friends. (There is one access point for each building they serve.) Instead, the internet company requires us to give them our MAC addresses so they can allow us access and they know exactly who its registered to.
So I reiterate, the problem wasn't on my end.

Theres only the ADSL wireless router, if that was the problem then the other 4 device on the network would have similar problems which they dont.
I had checked it, as I said, even setting IP info manually doesnt help which would bypass the need for DHCP completely
