This isn't a huge problem or anything. It goes away if I plug my headphones directly to the case but it only does it on this computer so I thought it might be fixable. It's a little awkward having a cable in my way all the time.

I don't know if this has anything to do with your issue, but whenever I hear hissing it's because I left my microphone on or enabled in the Control Panels, so I just turn that off.

Or it's possible that you have the microphone boost option ticked.

There doesn't seem to be an option to disable microphone, and I don't have one plugged in.

Boost isn't on either.
