Hi all, i have been searching the net to no luck, checked my local stores but none buy in instruments or deal with banjos, so no luck there either.
I have a Windsor 'popular' series 5 string banjo (circa 1920) here which is just going to waste, so im sellign it, hopefully somebody wil give it the tlc it deserves, but im struggling to find a buyer here in the uk, and i don't have a clue what value it would be worth. It comes with its original hardcase, and is from 1920 - 1924, heres a description:
Hardcase, wear and tear on the edges, and 2 buckles need replacing, inside the cary case is al in good shape, few small wear patches on the material were the neck rests.
The banjo, is missing 2 tension screws (bolts) and the skin has a tear in it, easily repairable by somebody with the knowledge, the skin, tuning pegs etc are all original, neck is in good condition, no serious fret wear or damage etc just needs cleaning, the drum/skin area besides missing the 2 tension screws also just needs a good cleaning.
Does anybody here specialize in banjos or vintage instruments and can tell me what its value is?
