Hi, I am very new with Acoustic Guitar. Just started learning by myself 3 days back. I was wondering if anyone here has any website recommendations that has song tabs for plucking. All I find are tabs for strumming.

Welcome to GTU. What kind of tunes are you looking for? And do you mean for example picking out a melody line while being backed by a second rhythm guitar, or more as a soloist where you combine strumming and picking?

I want to learn some pop music with plucking but seemingly pop music usually requires more than 1 string to be plucked at a time. Which I found it hard to work out on an acoustic guitar.

Unless you have previous training in music, you are reaching a little bit too far for only playing 3 days. Get your strumming down in time and once the chords are comfortable, then move ahead.

First of all I want to tell you one thing - learning to play with a good teacher gives MUCH MORE results in much less time.
If teacher is not affordable for any reasons - try video lessons which explain how to hold a guitar while you play, how to pick a chord, all basics. It's really important because right beginning gives positive results in the end.
There are lots of video on YouTube with that kind of material.
And also I suggest to look for simple tabs with easy solo. Maybe you can find something at tabtown.com - because there you can search for gtp files that contain only one track.

Ninjato and Regard13 are right. The first thing you need to do is learn to hold chords and strum properly. Being able to hold at least your basic chords (like E, A, D, G, C at a minimum) is the key to going any farther.

I know this is a little "out of the box" but just to quote what you said in how "hard" it was to work out in acoustic guitar. This is a 12 year old kid on acoustic guitar doing exactly what you are aiming for.

Let's not forget that his fingers will need lot of practice to "get over it" shall we say. Its mildly painful at first when you start but the trick is obviously to keep on playing in order to get those fingers used to the change and to keep them that way!

Its been 9 days today he started to play so his fingertips should hurt I just wanted to say nevermind keep on strumming whatever chords you learned properly and eventually the pain will go! Good luck.

yeah. I've been watching lots of youtube videos to learn although still having difficulty in strumming rhythms. The chords I used for songs sounds so different as compared with ones in videos even though I used the same chords. I guess this is where "Practice comes perfect", just have to keep trying different strumming patterns until it appears like the song i'm learning.

Well. I've done 2 weeks of guitar now. Thanks for all the advice, they are very helpful to me.

If your rhythm sucks, it doesn't matter what you are playing. No one but you will "like it"
