IMDB, Facebook, Gamefly, my yahoomail account, Digsby.com all timeout. It's a problem with all computers on the network. I've restarted the system a couple times, but that didn't fix anything. I'm looking for ideas before I call my ISP. I'd hate to do it if the problem is on my end somewhere. Thanks for any help.

Did you completely dump everything on your router in terms of settings and build a new network connection? I have had the same issue before and have had to rebuild my network every couple of months, but it's also a sign that your router is kicking the bucket too, especially if it's a Linksys as they are prone to crapping out every couple of years.

It fixed itself after a couple days. I'd still like to know what caused it though, in case it happens again. It's the modem/router that ATT gives you. 2Wire or something like that. Not much building or rebuilding needed even when it was new. Just pop it in, select your Encryption method and bam, internets for all.

That sort of thing happens to me sometimes too lately. I've no idea what it could be, other than the router not being very good, or breaking down.

Yeah, I stole it.

It happens to me too. In my case the problem is DNS error.

Did it start showing a port number in the address when the page would time out?

I don't know. If it happens again (and it did happen again but only lasted for a couple hours) I'll look for one.
