I've got one coming. Anyone use one? Any tricks for making them sound better?
Cheers

are you gettin a combo or a head?
i have played the lv300 head+cab, combo, the lv200 and the lv100 extensively at shops...
i must say i am really impressed with those amps.. they have a very nice organic clean tone.. reverb is very usable.. plus it has a lot of bells and whistles (3 channels, independent eq, bright switch, effects loop, vts tone shaping button, etc).. and the INCLUDED 3 button footswitch just makes you feel pampered...
the drive channels are great for blues, classic rock to a bit of alternative grunge by themselves.. for heavy stuff you will definately need a pedal in front..
and that amp convinced me that you dont really need to have a tube amp for great tones even for semi-pro playing... it has all analog circuitry so no digital nonsense..
one thing to note is that although it does have a tube preamp, it doesnt come into play in the clean channel, it kicks in only in the drive channels..
i had almost bought the lv200 before settling for the vox ac4tv just because i wanted to own a tube amp whore. but i'm surely going to buy the lv200 as my next amp, i just loved the features, tone and of course the 3 button footswitch which controls clean/drive, drive1/drive2 and reverb!!!
sorry i have no tips to make it play better... not the modding type myself..
cheers dude and do let me know how you like it!

It's the combo I'm getting. I've got a big stack for the outdoor jobs, but this is too fill in for pubs n small clubs. It's the crunchy indie sound i'm after, and I know it's capable, because our other guitarist uses it. I'm getting rid of my JCM900 to finance it. That amp has never quite delivered the sound I wanted. Thanks for your help.
