What would happen if I plugged my bass into my Danelectro Pastrami overdrive pedal? I'm pretty sure the pedal is designed for guitar use only. I want to make sure I would not damage the pedal or my amplifier before I go hooking up.

The signal itself won't damage the pedal so don't worry about it.

BUT (there's always a but biggrin.gif ) you may damage the amp if you put too much output on the pedal. I suggest you turn the gain of the pedal down and slowly crank it up. IMHO you shouldn't go past the mid point. If you want a louder sound, all you'll have to do is crank up the amp and voilą!

Now you may found that the pedal suck up a bit of low end. It can be solve with a bit of EQing. Have fun with your new sound!
