uploading to virgin webspace using dreamweaver Rate Topic: -----

I'm trying to upload a page to my virgin webspace (well ntl webspace)

I've gone to "new site" then filled in the forms as so..

Name of my site
http://www.homepage.ntlworld.com/my username/

Ftp of web space/host site
ftp://my username:my password@upload.ntlworld.com

Then I've entered all my username and password info where it says to but when i test connection it says remote host cannot be found.

I'm very new to this so any ideas?

thats a very odd ftp value.

ftp should look something like this, ftp.domain.com

I found a forum post elsewhere that said to put it like that so I did do. I'm forking out £300 next week to go on a basic web design course but just thought I'd try and figure out some bits first for myself, sadly not too successfully!

On a side note I like your avatar and I'm currently sat next to that very same idol of Shivaya.
