So would a guitar into a bass speaker have the same negative effect? Its a 150w combo amp thats got a whopping 1x15" speaker in it. That must affect tone?

My preference would be analog pedals...and used sparingly at that. The only thing that matters is your personal preference, though.
99 of my favourite guitar tones are guitar --> cord --> tube amp. Jim |
