Good morning folks,
I recorded a clip to demo the handmade Jacques "The Spin Acher" Tremolo/Leslie pedal. There is about 7 minutes of playing after I explained the pedal. The sound is as usual completely unprocessed, so you can hear the actual instruments. Very straight forward and honest.
I used a Michael Spalt Totem Voodoo guitar with two Spalt-customized Lindy Fralin pickups and an aged Tandler Beauty Goldtop (Honduras Mahogany, Brazialian Board, Michigan Maple Top) also with custom Fralins. The amp is a Divided by 13 JRT 9-15 (in the EL84 setting). The sound setting of the amp is the same with both guitars. The cab is a 2x12 half-open 65Amps cab with a Celestion Alnico Blue and a G12H Anniversary 30W (british production). The amp is close-miked with a vintage Neumann KM 54 at the Alnico Blue speaker.
There is NO EQ whatsoever in my recording software. As I said down and dirty...
I love the way how both guitars slightly break up when you push them a bit harder. The Spalt Totem has a bolt on neck and strings through body, the neck pick-up is my choice on the long Spalt take. It's a P90. On the opening piece of the clip, I actually play the bridge pickup. I have tried to be dynamic, so you can get different nuances in the sound. Especially the Spalt has these wonderful chimes on top of the sound with open chords. The Tandler Beauty has a more dark flavor, but still very crisp and twangy. I actually found it interesting to listen (and not watch) to the sound. You catch more details...
I am still trying to figure out, if the chorus-like "slightly out of tune sound" of the Spalt is from the effect setting or if I have to adjust the intonation on the guitar. It's brand-spanking new... Sweeeet though

I hope you enjoy the little clip,
Cheers
