I've been looking at the Line 6 Verbzilla lately. I may pick one of them up soon. Very interesting pedal.

I don't know about the sound you're looking for. I have an Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Nano. Works good. Comes with it's own power supply. Small footprint. It does not have what I would call a "big" sound though.

Get the Roland Space Echo box, that should do everything under the sun for delay and reverb.

i tried one of those the other day. good rockabilly sound sometimes, but otherwise not very useful for what i'm after.

ive got a space echo (boss pedal version) - the delays are great (that tape-esque eating of its self is well nice) and you can shove an expression pedal into it for 'twist' (mad feedback lol) but the reverb is only so-so (imo) as it was only a wee spring jobbie on the orginal, i think they could have improved on the original here and missed a trick

users include 'Portishead, Underworld, Fatboy Slim, Dust Brothers, Jean Michel-Jarre, Mr. Oizo, Bob Marley, Vangelis, Sneaker Pimps, Future Sound of London, The Orb, KISS, Sublime, Luke Vibert, Radiohead, Lauryn Hill, Tomita' and i know vince clarke (depeche mode, yazoo & then my fav erasure)owned one coz i saw his original for sale on ebay

The EHX Holy Grail is fine for me. Just make sure to put it after your noise gate (if you're using one). Otherwise, the reverb might get canceled out.
