They are good recorded but needs a little tweaking here and there. I wish the guitars were brought out a little bit more and the cymbals lowered on some songs. Might be the myspace player though.
I know some people will like this style and others will not (like with everything). I didn't particularly like it, it's a bit too ... sweet or something. And most of the songs sounded the same after awhile to me.
But you're good at this style, however generic it sounds. Your mixes are done well enough too.

yup everything on every song is me except for the generated choir or strings section here and there

i definitely agree its generic, and i agree it not perfectly mixed, and i agree it's very "sweet" music haha
i basically agree with everything. im working on a new project right now and i'm trying to bring more "talent" into it.
the thing is that i can play the challenging guitar riffs and make the bass and drums flow but having to write, record, mix and master EVERYTHING myself it becomes a bit hard to draw out the writing ability i have from each instrument individually.
the other problem is that i would have other people work on it with me but i live out in the country and i've been trying to form something for years....just not working so until then i suppose ill just keep making quality run-of-the-mill, generic music

personaly i think theres plenty of leg room (pun unintended) still left in this sub genre, think of those successfull acts who you might be compared with now as neo-proto ideas for a new musical agenda (coz theres some lovely synthy touches in with the 'pumped' drums and ubiquitus rock guitars), one you can call your own. i only say that coz the un-afore mentioned obvious musical influences kinda sit (in my mind) as a bit needy and high maintenance whinge rock, where as yours still with the same 'bop' - energy, i dont know why in the name of christ i used the word 'bop' - is self funding with quite alot to spare. (soundwise) you gotta make this stuff your own m8, coz (songwise) theres loads to like
edit: im contradicting my self above, because like an atom, your musica can be in two places at once. that and brandy lol, but i do like your music m8 its not bad at all ('positivaty' mega good)
4th edit-ish: (in the end) grammer

thanks for the...um..oddly portrayed compliments!
though oddly said you have a point and honestly when I write i tend to lean toward something that most people would like to hear.
ive been called a sell out but when it comes down to it there really isn't a music genre i don't like to play so how could i ever sell out to what the people want to hear? i have an industrial side project which is really cool in my opinion. and my music branches out all over the place. so again thanks for the encouragement

Great job. That takes a lot of patience.

Solid stuff. Simple melodies with plenty of honesty. It's obvious you found the sound that suits you and have no problem making complementary parts, one high point is that mad legato synth line in 'Never let you down' over those crashing chords. Highly energetic while the singing is melodic, showing how these two factors complement eachother well. I must add your drum programming is solid, good use of fills, nice cymbal work. Keep the one man homeband thing going, you're good at it, hoping to hear more.

thanks alot man, i've got plenty more coming. to date i've got about 50-60 songs recorded over the course of 4 original "albums" i try to upload them periodically. i've gotta update my soundclick though... its all old stuff on there. when i do i'll be sure to pop a link on here.
thanks again.
EDIT: yeah i still got the LP and it's still as good as ever. had to replace to strap pegs and input. i kept the originals but im planning to get it restored someday to original specs. no matter how much time or money it takes.
