Its been a while i was last playing in alternate tunings (my string broke a while ago) but i finally tuned my guitar back down to dadf#ad to play the song Cripple Creek by Leo Kottke. while im in this tuning id like to learn some more songs. If you know any more songs by leo or other artists in this tuning let me. im looking for fast slide guitar songs but it doesnt have to have slide in it.

If you can find them, "Slidell Blues" and "Skin Game Blues" by Paul Geremia are pretty nice tunes. A little more contemporary, (but not slide) "Little Martha" by the Allman Brothers is a good tune. "Dark Was The Night Cold Was The Ground" by (orig) Blind Willie Johnson and (covers) Rye Cooder or Sam Mitchell is nice slide (not fast though). (I posted the theme lines I'd tabbed to that one before)

I love Little Martha. I used to keep one guitar in open tuning just for that song. It's been a while, I don't think I can even play that song anymore.

Dadfad put me onto "the prodical son" by blind willie somethun'. I only know the rolling stones version. But this is a cool song and is in dadf#ad tuning. Dadfad has posted the tab on this site a couple of times so you should be able to search it.
If your into cripple creek then you may not want any singing.
If you go you this site http://www.acousticfingerstyle.com/ there is a few good alt tuning tabs.
keep your lamp burning.

www.tabpigs.org has a lot of Leo tabs, a decent amount of which are in open D, my favorite being "Watermelon," from 6 and 12.
http://www.slidingzo...lidingzone.html has lots of slide tabs, including much of Ry Cooder's soundtrack for Paris, Texas and his cover of Woody Guthrie's "Vigilante Man."
Blind Willie Johnson's "Dark Was The Night (Cold Was The Ground)" is a beautiful slide tune in open D, and there's a tab for it at Kay-Uwe Graw's site, as well. Elmore James and Mississippi Fred McDowell played a lot in open D, as well.
