Light My Fire works well acoustically. Of course you can play any tune acoustically, but that one is probably the only one that really works well. Listen to the Jose Feliciano version for some ideas. I don't totally like Jose's version (a little "much" at times), but it has some nice directions in it.

laugh.gif I know what you mean, but it doesn't HAVE to. Feliciano's version has some really nice chording and still preserves the original "brooding" quality of the tune for the most part. It CAN be done without sounding too gay.

(Like the way I did it at the "Olde Log Inn" in San Francisco that time.... laugh.gif )

J/k. It can be done well acoustically.

Spanish Caravan may be a challenge, but it's great.

I used to do the Doors cover of Van Morrison's Gloria with my buddy straight acoustic. Worked out just grand.

I would think that Crystal Ship would lend itself to an acoustic version.

www.powertabs.net should set the record straight.

you can play the tab and listen to it, so if the tab sucks you need not waste your time learning it.
