As anyone can tell, one of the beautiful things about the acoustic guitar is that it can go practically anywhere (Except maybe underwater.... maybe).
Where is your favorite place to play?
Mine would either be simply sitting on my bed... or, i have a swampy area about 400 feet into some woods behind my house, there is a tree stump that seems to be in the shape of a grand throne, it has armrests, a back, and plenty of room. i like to go out there with my geetar, over look the wildlife at the little pond/swamp, and play. good place to write songs!

There's a spot in my basement behind the water softener that has fantastic acoustics. I spend a ridiculous amount of time there with my guitar. Also in the swamp behind my house. It's nicer there now that the mosquitoes have all died off.
My favourite place to play my guitar though is on Orlebar Point at Gabriola Island at sunset, because I am a hopeless romantic.

Right there, on the rocks, serenading the narrows. Transcendental.

My new bedroom's got a really nice mellow kinda decoration to it, and great acoustics, so playing there's pretty good.
My school hall as well (when it's empty!!
) has amazing acoustics, it can even make me sound good!

My downstairs neighbors are both serious musicians, so I'm a bit shy about letting them hear me play. For this reason I play my acoustic, quietly, in my living room area.
Besides I don't want them to pull a muscle from laughing so hard.
He's an awesome guitar player. He even makes guitars. She teaches muisic at local schools. I'm talking serious musicians.
I'm not that bad, but it's intimidating.
Sometimes (when it's not too hot or too cold) I go up into my attic and play. This way I won't disturb them, and they can't hear me...at least, I hope they can't hear me.
Sometimes I go out on my deck and play. At these times I try not to worry about what they might think of my guitar playing.
When I'm watching tv at night and am on my couch, I usually have my guitar and am playing scales or various songs.

Depends on the weather, in the winter I play in the living room on the couch most of the time. The couch is right across the room from the fireplace. I also play on the couch when it's real hot during the summer.....air conditioner.
I'm out in the country, and I have an old church pew on my front porch, so when it's nice I like to play out on the porch....watchin the sun go down.
I should be able to write something.....it'll come.

The bathroom is definitely great for acoustics, and for those of us who tend to be a little shy about playing for others, the porch on a dark night ( i had some neighbors that i've never met or seen clap for me the other day), or park your truck somewhere, let down the tail gate, and play your heart out (if you feel you sucked, you never have to go there again

In my teens, there was a park near my home that no one really used because it was a bird sanctuary..any way, I 'd go there for hours and play; especially when I was down...all the trees and colors really picked me up...also a great place to bring chicks

Aha, he admits it........... seducing young women by pretending to have an interest in ornithology.
Good to see you back Stu. Hope you are well.
