Ok im really getting in to finger picking. Im trying to learn Classical Gas but its pretty damn hard. I learned Hotel California. Great song. I learned Needle and The Damage Done by Neil Young. I learned Dust In The Wind by Kansas. I just need something harder. Anyone have anything to reccomend for me? It can be blues or rock n roll(thats what i play) either is fine. Thanks.

(Some nice recommendations you made though anyway.)

Try some country blues. I'm in my Robert Johnson period now.

classical gas isn't so bad. work on it and you'll get it! i nearly killed myself with it the week my teacher told me to learn it but i managed to get it done. so yes, constant practising of it in a week, you shou;d be able to get it!
as for fingerpicking, just get a book of solos or something...

Try some JIm Croce.."Time In A Bottle" and "I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song" are two of my favourites...I like Jim's stuff because you can sort of get away with it by being "keen"... but don't play your own version then listen to him...just depresses you!!

i'm quite surprised to have not seen any fleetwood mac in the selections. "bleed to love her" is a pretty difficult song, "never going back again", "big love" is VERY difficult, and "go insane", which is a slower fingerpicked song, but it's definitely worth learning. all of lindsey's songs are fingerpicked. one song that i had forgotten to put in there is the reunion version of "say you love me". he plays it on a banjo. i've had a banjo for 2 years and i can't find a version of it anywhere, so here's a little plug to see if anyone can help me with that, i'd appreciate it. y'all have a good one......dj
