I've just recorded me on soundclick "Fingerpicking" (with a pick) a few simple dylan chords. I was never much good with using my fingers, i've allways used a pick. So, how good, or how bad would you rate it? Keep in mind, i've never learned any fingerpicking songs, any finger picking technique, nothing. I've just picked it up along the way with playing around. The chords are those to dont think twice it's allright, capo 4th fret. It's nothing like the original, but it still fits in with the vocals i think. So, what do you all think, is it any good?
By the way, this is not a soundclick plug, i'm deleting this file once this topic dies...

Not bad at all, Cian. You sound as good as Dylan did when he first started recording. (Maybe better!)

Go me!
Thanks john.
Fingerpicking is something i never really was too fond of, i was allways an eccentric strummer, as opposed to softly fingering. The guitar, that is.
I wish i could do it like dylan though...

The guitaring is out of tune because i'm using .09's, and the action is so low, and it wont go higher. It's allmost funny... If you see this, to tighten the tuss rod, is it clockwise or anti? It's not a very good guitar, so i'm not worried about bieng too carefull, really... I want to loosen the tuss rod.
Thanks...
Thanks...

Me, sing? You've got to be joking! I'm looking for a singer though... Not with much luck, dylan isnt the most populer bloke around here. I've found one person. She's high pitched as an operah singer, and sings like she has a crybaby shoved up her arse. The effects bon jovi have had on her.

As you look at the nut (on the rod) from the end of the neck, tightening is usually clockwise, which will usually lower the action. Loosening will usually raise it. Never go more than a quarter turn at a time and always wait a short time (especially when tightening) for the neck of the wood to re-form itself to the new shape. And always count how many turns, quarter turns, etc, you've gone in case you wish to go back to where it was for some reason. (Guitars that have the adjustment on the sound-hole end of the neck go clockwise as well, but looking at it from the bottom of the guitar.)
