How much did you purchase this item for? This guitar was a hand-me-down from my mother. But at the time of purchase (1975) it cost about $300 USD
Where did you purchase this item? It was purchased at World of Music in Erie, PA, USA
Is this item new or used? This item was new, I got it used.

Features: This acoustic guitar has a dreadnought body size, 21 frets with square, pearloid inlays. It's blonde in color. Interestingly enough it has a bolt-on neck.

Construction: This guitar is built pretty well. It was fashioned together in Japan over 25 years ago and it has held up very well after such a long time. The bolt-on neck is pretty stable, but I would advise anyone with an acoustic with a bolt on to be careful with it because there's not much that holds it on; some screws, a piece of wood, and maybe some glue.

Sound: The sound of this guitar is excellent. I've only found one other FT-150 in my lifetime and it sounded just as good as mine. The sound is very warm, very deep, yet the body resonates the treble strings very well. I have used pickups with it and I disliked them. Whenever I play it amplified I use a dynamic microphone through a PA to maintain the natural sound. I'm very satisfied with the sound thsi guitar puts out.

Ease of Use: The action of this guitar is very fast and low. The neck is thin and the fretboard is narrow. It's much like a lot of the Gibson SGs I've played in my day. It's not a struggle to play this guitar.

Reliability: I have used this guitar professionally over the past 7 years and I would have to say that this guitar is very reliable. Rarely goes out of tune and I can count on it to sound good each and every time I use it.

Overall: This model of Epiphone is fantastic. I really like the sound and the construction of it. As aforementioned, I have used this guitar professionally and it has served me well every time. I play flamenco, jazz, blues, rock, and lo-fi indie pop with my FT-150 and it serves each genre well. If this guitar were stolen I would cry. I am constantly looking for another model but the FT-150s are hard to find. However, I would do my damndest to replace this guitar if something should happen to it. All in all this is a fantastic guitar and I recommend it to any player looking for a nice, warm sounding instrument.
