Yeah, odds are no one has ever heard of him, but this guy is incredible. He plays stuff I couldn't ever think of. Its hard to explain, I saw him play live and naturally got his cds, but he strums with his thumb, and picks with the rest of his fingers. I know that its not a really uncommon technique, but you have to hear this guy do it.
If you can find it, download "The Best for Me" (off the album "where were you"). He uses the above technique in this song, its a cool song too, about his wife.
All of his stuff is pretty good, but that song is the best, as far as guitar goes.
(this guy blows my beloved shane barnard out of the water!)

hes strumming is pretty normal, maybe its not the song you were talking about, but the song itself is pretty cool, i like

Marry me is a pretty cool song, but he doesn't really show off in that one. You've got to find the one listed above!

yeah im a big Don Ross fan, he's mad good - some of the lines he does in bluefinger are insane bc its SO syncopated to the treble pickin, jeez. also, "klimbim" is an incredible song of his. peace ppl ~
