Hey everyone I have a Martin D-3532 Shenandoah from 1991. It is the mid range guitar that Martin made in the late 80's and early 90's veneer rosewoord back and sides and solid sitka spruce top. It came with a thinline 332 pickup stock. No preamp, tone controls, or a 9volt battery. My problem is that when I plug it into a PA the signal is very weak even if I turn the volume up all the way. But if I run through any type of effects pedal it totally amplifies it. What type of pedal should I use to get this consistently? An EQ to make up for the controls that it is lacking in comparison to other acoustic electrics? Someone told me compression.....It is especially lacking on the bass side without pedals. ANy help or suggestions would be appreciated.
