MG100DFX Combo

How much did you purchase this item for?
I payed $429.99 for this amp (American Currency of course)

Where did you purchase this item?
I purchased this item from a local music retailer in Lansing, Michigan

Is this item new or used?
I bought it new.

Features:
  • A compact gig rig with big Marshall tone
  • Delivers a dynamic yet toneful punch
  • 100W
  • 12" speaker
  • 2 channels (footswitchable)
  • Digital effects including reverb, delay, chorus, and flange
  • FDD (Frequency Dependent Dampening)
  • CD ins, plus emulated line out, and emulated headphone jacks
  • 22-1/2"W x 18"H x 11"D
  • 65 lbs.
  • Looks beautiful!
  • Can serve as a head for a stack amp.
Construction:
Like all Marshall Amps, it is built very well...good support ect. If you were to drop it from 10 ft. I trust this amp to stay in mint condition (Besides minimal scratches etc)

Sound:
The Sound is greeaat! With built in digital effects you almost dont need that $20 digitech. Great clean tone and great distortion...a well balanced amp, can be taken to a practice to a gig.

Ease of Use:
If you have played electric guitar before, and know what gain, mid, etc is...you should be fine.

Reliability:
Like all Marshalls, great reliability, great customer support etc, I do trust this amp...This amp would be great in a gig or a practice, whatever floats your boat.

Overall:
If this product got stolen, for sure I would replace it...I recommend it to any guitarist who has been playing for 5+ years or that is very skilled, you can play almost any kind of music on it too! The thing that turned me on in the product in the first place is the great Marshall tone..I went into the amp room in my local retailer and I tried it...The great sound blew me away. If I could rate this product for 1-10, 10 being the highest, I would rate this product a 9, only because nothing is perfect!
Note: This amp can also be used as a head amp for a stack.

I have an MG15DFX combo. True, it's not the greatest, but it serves the purpose I need it for. Although I would prefer more wattage and a bigger speaker.

I dunno why you guys like it but IMO stay away from it. As far as it goes marshall MGs are not good. I once bought a marshall MG50DFX and didnt like it. I sold it, Saved up(again) And Bought my JCM 800.

Nothing after the 2203 vertical inputs (including the 2203 horizontal inputs with the 3 electrocaps out of the circuit) was any good. from there it was all diode clipping up the ass and a corruption of Marshall tone. the MG is fully solid state which not only says enough about its crapiness but coming from someone who tried very hard to like it for a long time this amp sucks. just because it's marshall unfortunately doesn't mean they don't make crap. same goes for every big name brand.
