OK guys, the library is now open for comments and praise! (or derision ph34r.gif )

So far I've enjoyed listening to everyone's stuff.

Bassguy - very solid!
Drewby - there's a definite quirkiness here that always appeals to me!
Randall - Rock god from the "other side"!

And The No Shows - just who the heck are they? I don't know, but I like 'em!

Bassguy33's- inspiration to learn bass more thoroughly. I'm digging it man! Crappiness of playing my arse!

Drewby- A GENIUS. I have followed him through out his career. Fabulous really. Nah, that "quirkiness" is my inability to play properly!

Minimaul-didn't work.... very sorry. I can make up some praise for you at a later date if you'd like though!

PaulieJay-Not as much talent as Drewby... Nah, blows it all out of the water! Paulie playing a menagerie of different instruments on almost every track! I am glad there is no such thing as too much PaulieJay!

Randall-Smooth, mellow, cool, and then busts it out. Lovely vintage tone. I totally dig it ALL. Louisville has lost a treasure, and GTU has dug it up and brought it to the Antiques Road Show for appraisal!!

The No Shows-not as good a name as Mugged By A Hobo, but what is?! Awesome. I would say more, but none of them are here. tongue.gif

Fabulous work boys. Now, when the heck are we gonna get some more!

Thanks Drewby! The quirkiness was more the lyrical ideas that I'm hearing - but there is deifnitely a vibe happening there!

Minimaul - I re-pasted your link... it works fine for me unsure.gif Got some good little rhythmic things going on there.

Hey, gimme a break Paulie! biggrin.gif
As it says on the Official Wooden Horse Website, the band should hopefully be making an EP the week after next, so I should have at least a song for you lot before long!

And I must say you guys are certainly one talented bunch - you're even better than I expected (I trust me, I was expecting nothing short of genius!). Special mention to Bassguy33 - loving the slapping... you've inspired me to actually try and learn how to do it at last! smile.gif

Well, my band has just made a live recording at our latest gig (using a 4-track and a strategically placed microphone). The tape is being processed by the 4-track owner (our rhythm guitarist) so it can be transformed into digital nectar and uploaded onto the world wide web.

I don't know how it will work - whether the songs will be divided up or if it will just be one continuous track... but I promise that I will provide you with a link as soon as it is ready!

OK folks, I've updated my list of songs with 2 new (well, new in the sense that although they are about 5 years old none of you guys has heard them yet) ditties for you to sink your teeth into.

First up is "Be Thankful". I wrtoe this song and all of the instrumental parts except for the guitar solo at the end. This is the same singer as the one from Venus In Furs but it was a different band. I play my Jay Dee Supernatural on this one.

The other one is a track called Don't Nail The Freak with Venus In Furs. I play bass on this one too!

Hope you like smile.gif

well, you would hear the bass if it werent for several reasons...

1. We only have two 'real' songs on there (meaning with the whole band). The first one "22 labs" was recorded part by part and I really wasnt good enough when we first recorded (had only been playing for two days or so) and now...well i am freakin lazy. The other song '2:49' is live and was picked up with a ######ty piece of equipment. Plus another bassist screwed with the levels after I had set it up for my piece, so I was too low and didnt want to sound check in front of a packed audience.

2. I had a bass solo up there, 'cept it really kinda sucked. So i took it down right before I sent you the link.hehe.

3. I had fun playing acoustic on 'among the trees'....

OK I swear I am a bassist, no really. Dont shoot....::ducks for cover::.

But i promise that we will rerecord most things and get them up there with the bass.
